Greeks seeking Jesus

…some Greeks…came to Philip…“Sir, we would like to see Jesus.” (John 12:21)
How did Philip and Andrew take Jesus’ reply?

They wanted him, those folk from foreign shore.
It’s great! The net, expanding more and more!
With eagerness we asked what he would say.
That riddle came – could they be saved that way?
Could talk of traitor’s death and grain of wheat
do anything these people’s hopes to meet?
It’s not as if the work has all been done.
Why need he die? We’ve only just begun.
